Naruto Shippuden Gekitou Ninja Taisen is a Japanese fighting game with Anime styled Graphics and Original Japanese voice overs available in both English and Japanese languages. The game is based on the popular manga series “Naruto” by Masashi Kishimoto. This arcade game was released by the Bandai Namco group in August 2013 and it includes 4 playable characters from the Naruto world: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake and Gaara. The player can start off with one of the four playable characters and 2 ninja rotating enemies (ninja), then gradually unlock other characters. The characters will charge up power as they fight and once this is done, the “Dragon Soul” mode will be activated giving them a boost of additional power. The stages are mostly based on settings from previous Naruto anime series. The game is similar to other fighting games in terms of having 2D sprites that are rendered in 3D, putting this game at par with the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. The stages are also rendered in 3D environments with some effects like fire and explosions for added gameplay effects. The game includes the 42 stages in the Story Mode and Players can use different characters in order to clear these stages. The game will also allow players to choose between two options: the two player system (Player vs. CPU or Player vs Player) or single player mode by selecting “Random NPC NPC” option. The game has simple controls that are easy to master once you play it for some time.
